Eric Cunningham

Assistant Business Agent: Non-Operations

"The best way to help make change is to get involved and never give up your fight to make things better."
Eric Cunningham

Eric Cunningham has worked at the RTA as a bus mechanic from 2006 to 2010 and as a rail mechanic from 2010 through 2014 when he was elected as the Assistant Business Agent for Non-Operations. Prior to that, he served as an Executive Board Member from 2012 to 2014 and as Sergeant at Arms from 2010 to 2012. In addition to being a union brother and co-worker, Mr. Cunningham is married with a son and daughter.

Mr. Cunningham ran for office in 2017 for his second term in office as an Assistant Business Agent beginning in January 2018. Mr. Cunningham believes it is important to join the union because the members have a voice for change and get to be part of the great Union family. He understand that the benefits of a union include, "always having someone there to fight for you and having strength in numbers."

In addition to his terms in office, Mr. Cunningham was elected to attend the ATU International Convention in 2016 and he has attended contract training offered by the International.

Looking forward, Mr. Cunningham believes that ATU Local 268's priorities include, "Benefits, Pay and Working Conditions."
